Overview
These panels are constructed using a high-performance core material, which is laminated on one or both faces with a durable High-Pressure Laminate (HPL) layer for enhanced wear resistance and structural integrity. In cases where only one face is laminated, a liner/balancer is bonded to the reverse side to maintain optimal flatness and dimensional stability of the panel.
A range of core options are available, including many different types of plywoods, MDF, fire doors, and other materials, designed to meet specific application requirements.
Panels are available in standard commercial sizes such as 2440x1220mm, 3050x1220mm, and 3050x1525mm, or can be custom-cut and machined to precise dimensions based on project specifications
What is HPL?
High pressure laminate is manufactured in a fusing process that results in an extra-hard decorative laminate. The multiple layers of kraft papers used for the decorative surface, inner layers and backing layer are all impregnated with phenolic resin and fused together in a multiple step press operation offering a wide range of decorative effects.
These laminates are then bonded to a core board in a separate process with glue under pressure. Heat is often is used to accelerate the curing process.
