Overview
Decorative ash faced birch plywood is available from stock (Commercial Joinery Grade Crown Ash A/A), This is used extensively in the manufacture of joinery & shopfitting furniture. Ash faced lightweight poplar plywood and ash faced gaboon / okoume marine plywood can be produced to special production order.
Although not currently available, ash-throughout plywood is a high-quality technical plywood panel that is used for various industrial & engineering applications, and in the manufacture of decorative furniture & shopfitting installations. This product is used where the performance of an ash-based material is particularly desirable, such as sports equipment where its technical characteristics are essential. It is also used for decorative applications, e.g. in the manufacture of furniture where the appearance is of most importance.
Ash-throughout plywood is also used in engineering applications where the excellent dimensional stability of ash is desirable.

This product is supplied with Commercial Joinery or Premier Architectural Grade sliced ash veneers bonded on a high quality plywood core in the form of ash faced birch plywood, ash faced lightweight poplar plywood, or ash faced gaboon / okoume lightweight marine plywood.
These face veneers are normally 0.6mm before sanding, but faces of 1.4mm or 2.4mm ash veneer can also be used for decorative edge finish and/or bonded using D4 glue where panels may be exposed to higher moisture content.
Sometimes customers ask for ash veneers to be bonded onto a core of our Ash Triply Three-Layer Panels in order to have a bookmatched veneer face on a core that allows deep machining, e.g. v-grooves to be carved into the surface without exposing a different core.

Used for applications where a very strong & resilient, decorative plywood is required, ash throughout plywood is a high-quality panel product that is regularly used for toy & model making, interior decoration & in the manufacture of a variety of sports equipment.
This product is faced with 2.5mm veneers (before sanding) and in most cases on a core of 2.5mm thickness rotary peeled ash veneers throughout. Some thicknesses include 1.7mm veneers in the core in order to achieve the required finished thickness.
Face Quality - Ash Throughout Plywood
Rotary peeled ash plywood is sanded to 80 grit as standard. (A secondary sanding at finer grit can be arranged to special order by arrangement.)
