View Brazilian Cedar veneered panels & doors in full size

Brazilian Cedar is also known as Peruvian Cedar, Cedro, Honduras Cedar, Mexican Cedar, and Tabasco Cedar. It is not a true cedar but a mahogany and grows extensively in Central and South America.

Brazilian Cedar sapwood is pale in colour and is not sharply demarcated from the heartwood, which usually ranges from pale pinkish-brown to dark reddish-brown in colour, and darkens upon exposure. Timber from younger or fast-grown trees is generally paler in colour.

Brazilian Cedar veneer grain is straight or shallowly interlocked and texture is moderately coarse. The wood varies from lustrous to highly lustrous and natural oil in the wood gives off a distinctive fragrant scent.
